I love Pie.
To celebrate Pi day my family had a pie party yesterday.
This was just a fraction of the pies...I think we counted around 30 then more people showed up with more pie. It was FABULOUS.
I made a chocolate turtle pudding pie.
I think I'm going to be full for days, I had waaaay tooo much pie.
But you really have to ask yourself, how much is too much when talking about pie?
The answer is never, never too much pie.
Favorites of the day were: Ms. Lovit's Minced Meat, apple (can't beat a classic), cherry almond, and my cousin made one up that consisted of pie crust and corn pudding with pistachios crumbled on top...it was to die for.

no I'm not in this picture, and no I didn't take it.
I may have, however, tried to leave with that little baby you see (top middle of picture, he's in blue stripes), but he's family so I really couldn't have gotten very far.

the diet starts today, wish me luck.
I have to be swimsuit ready by May.
Vegas/California here I come!

I'll take the pancakes please.

In Jr High we had the talk, ya know the one where the put all the girls in one room and the boys in another?
They sat all us girls down in front of a tv and popped in a video....great skill on their part by the way!

No you may be wondering how pancakes tie into all this, well you'll get it soon.

So this video is about girls on a camping trip...in a back yard. Low and behold on of the girls starts her period. The mom takes over and tries to explain the whole thing to the girls the next morning.
With pancakes.
She sits them all down and they watch her make pancakes while she explains how a woman's body works.
When she's done the pancakes look like a happy perfect uterus.

I didn't eat pancakes for years after that. I was scarred. French toast it was for me. (and I'm sure about 90% of the rest of the girls in my class and I'm positive that if you asked any one of us we could still give you a play by play of that video....to prove my point I would like you all to know that the tent was blue.)

Why you ask am I bringing up the pancake video that refuses to ever leave my memory? After the HSG on Friday I keep thinking about those pancakes...in their perfect form. No tilting to the left.
I bet those pancakes would have cute little silver dollar pancakes by now (please tell me you know what I'm talking about?...no? Silver dollar=baby pancakes) hey you never know they could have cute little blueberry and strawberry silver dollar twins.
Anyways I'm getting off topic here.
My point is that I'm ready for the pancakes now (don't worry I can eat the pancakes now, no permanent damage I guess). The perfect pancakes that don't tilt way left and to the back, the one shaped like a perfect uterus that holds perfect little pancakes.

OK now I have to have pancakes for dinner.

It's most likely not me...and I tipped that scale.

I had my annual appointment yesterday, and got back my progesterone results. Seems all is good in that area too.  She said that with the good results my overies should be working just fine, and that if AJ get's a good report form the Uro/IF specialist than we will move on to the HSG.
That wasn't the info that had me in tears all the way home though.
It seems that I have let myself get above 200lbs. Granted it's only 3lbs over (and I'm ok with you guys knowing my poundage seeing as you don't really know me) but it was my breaking point. I came home and looked up the carb amounts in almost everything. Starting next week (because I already have the grocery for this week) I will be eating way less carbs.
I'm also going to start using the elliptical that lives in my basement, I think 3 days a week is a good number to start off with. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I don't have to be anywhere until 10 on those days...Tuesday and Thursday I have to be somewhere by 7:30 and who wants to get up at 5am just to work out. Plus I know me...I won't do it.
I'm setting myself a goal of 10lbs by the end of February, it's a healthy 2lbs a week and also not to outrageously high that I'll be let down.
I think it will be easier if I make small changes at first, bib-lettuce when I would use bread for sandwiches, eggs whites instead of oatmeal for breakfast and smoothies for the afternoon when I get the most hungry. Dinners are going to be the hardest, considering that AJ and I are verrrry picky eaters...and not about the same things.   Dinners kinda scare me...I know meat and potatoes. We have some form of that every night. Guess I'm going to spend the rest of this week looking up low carb dinners...when I'm not doing homework (which is what I have to do now).

Wordless Wednesday: well almost wordless.

Classes start again on Monday.
I think someone needs to make me these as motivation to get a 4.0 again this semester.
Heck let's face it I'll take any kind of cupcakes....but if your asking I'll take apricot cupcakes with  lemon frosting. Thanks!
